SkyReadings calculates astrology charts. This page explains what is stored, why, and what you can ask us to delete. The short version: the free calculators work without an account, and your birth details are not sent to a server until you choose to save a chart. Anonymous usage events, such as which steps you completed, are recorded to improve the site.

What we collect

• Birth date, time, place and optional first name, when you save a chart or buy a report.
• Your email address, when you sign in or buy a report.
• A signed session cookie, so you stay signed in on this device.
• Purchase records from Polar, including the product, order id and status.
• Aggregate analytics on the production site, if analytics is enabled: page views and tool events, never birth data or email.
• To improve the site we record anonymous usage events (pages viewed and calculator steps completed, tied to a random id kept in your browser), never birth data or personal details.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for a phone number, a home address, a government id or payment card details. Card details are handled by Polar. We do not run a data broker, sell personal data or use birth data for advertising.

Where it lives

Account and chart data are stored in a private Firebase Realtime Database under this app's own node, accessed only by the server with a service account. The browser never talks to Firebase directly. Sign-in emails are delivered by Resend when configured. Payments are processed by Polar.

Cookies

One httpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. It contains a random token, not your email or birth data. Analytics, when enabled on the production site, uses Google Analytics 4 and may set its own cookies. Local development and previews do not load analytics.

How long we keep it

A session lasts up to 90 days and is renewed when you use the site. Saved charts and purchase records stay until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes.

Your choices

You can delete a saved chart from your account page, or email support@skyreadings.com to delete your account and its data. Purchase records may be kept where tax or accounting rules require them. You can use every free calculator without an account.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and signed-in users are told on their next visit.
